Velvet Fusion Latte

Vanilla is an alluring addition to coffee drinks. Add some extra creamy sweetness, intense espresso and you have coffee bliss. Our Velvet Fusion Latte is a versatile espresso and milk-based drink that will tantalize your taste buds, whether enjoyed piping hot or refreshingly cold. Perfect for coffee lovers seeking a harmonious blend of robust espresso and creamy goodness.

Ingredients

  • 2 shots of freshly brewed espresso
  • 1 cup of whole milk (or your preferred alternative)
  • 2 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes (if serving cold)
  • Whipped cream (optional, for garnish)
  • Chocolate shavings (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Espresso: Brew two shots of espresso using your favorite coffee beans. Ensure a rich and bold flavor profile to serve as the base for our Velvet Fusion.
    Even if you don’t have a home espresso machine, you can enjoy espresso-style coffee using a French press.
  2. Prepare the Milk: Steam your milk. (If you prefer a cold version, skip this step.)
    Don’t worry if your espresso machine doesn’t have a steam wand. You can use a separate milk frother & warmer like the Nespresso Aeroccino. You can also prepare the milk on the stove top and get a delicious velvety milk. In a saucepan, gently heat the milk over medium heat. Be cautious not to bring it to a boil; you want it warm and velvety.  
  3. Add Sweetened Condensed Milk: Stir in two tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk into the warm milk. This adds a delightful sweetness and a rich, creamy texture to our drink. Adjust the sweetness to your liking.
  4. Infuse with Vanilla: Incorporate a teaspoon of real vanilla extract into the milk mixture. This not only enhances the aroma but also adds a subtle depth of flavor that complements the espresso perfectly.
  5. Combine Espresso and Milk: Pour the freshly brewed espresso into the milk mixture. Stir gently until everything combines for a smooth texture. For a cold version, let the espresso cool before adding it to the milk.
  6. Serve Hot or Cold: If you’re opting for a hot beverage, pour the Velvet Fusion into your favorite mug. If you prefer it cold, fill a glass with ice cubes before pouring the drink over them.
  7. Garnish (Optional): For an extra touch of decadence, top your Velvet Fusion with a dollop of whipped cream and a few vanilla beans.
